A La Carte Services

The Idea Institute offers flexible, customizable services tailored to schools' specific needs in adopting student-centered learning (SCL). These include:

  • Observation Tour: A full-day school visit to observe teaching, meet stakeholders, and conduct a tailored workshop, resulting in an implementation plan.

  • 1:1 Coaching: Individualized support for teachers to implement SCL strategies that enhance student voice and agency.

  • Small-Group Coaching: Targeted coaching for up to three teachers, fostering collaboration in adopting SCL practices.

  • Professional Learning Communities (PLCs): Collaborative coaching for 4-10 educators, promoting shared learning and classroom transformation.

  • Project Tracking and Metrics Reporting: Continuous monitoring of progress, providing data-driven insights into the impact of SCL initiatives.

Ignite PD Package

The Ignite PD Package is an introductory professional development program designed to familiarize educators with student-centered learning (SCL) and help them begin implementing it in their classrooms. It is structured as a cohort model, involving 2-3 teachers from 4-6 schools who participate in a shared Professional Learning Community (PLC). The program focuses on fostering collaboration, experimentation, and growth in SCL practices and includes an introductory workshop, 4 coaching sessions for the cohort, project tracking and metrics, and a Celebration of Learning. Impact PD Package

This comprehensive package is designed for schools seeking significant and sustained transformation. It includes:

  • Observation Tour: A full-day school visit to observe teaching, meet stakeholders, and conduct a tailored workshop, resulting in an implementation plan.

  • Coaching Sessions: Eight personalized sessions per teacher in a cohort of six, focused on implementing SCL.

  • Project Management: Oversight by a dedicated project manager to ensure goals are met.

  • Metrics and Reporting: Mid- and end-of-year reports to track progress and outcomes.

  • PLCs and Celebrations: Cohort meetings to share successes and challenges, culminating in a showcase of learning achievements.
